Your mission
Reporting to the CTO, you own the end-to-end system architecture of OIQ’s hybrid NTN-TN connectivity solution and its land-mobility MOVE product. You turn customer, mission and standards requirements into a coherent architecture spanning space segment, gateways, networks and user terminals, and steer it through integration, verification and deployment with internal teams, suppliers and partners.
1\. End-to-end system architecture ▪ Architect the hybrid satellite-terrestrial (NTN-TN) solution, ensuring seamless interoperability for mobility and handheld use cases. ▪ Define, manage and trace user-terminal (edge/handheld) and gateway requirements into system architectures compliant with 3GPP (Rel. 15+, incl. Rel. 17+ NTN), ETSI, ITU and FCC. ▪ Own end-to-end mission interfaces: spaceborne platform and payload software, terminal RF control, protocol stacks, integrated modems and battery management. ▪ Lead the architecture of digital hardware (modems, modem accelerators, application processors), physical layer and protocol-stack software. ▪ Define network strategies for LEO/MEO/GEO constellations with 5G/LTE/RedCap, including RAN, core and transport design for low-latency, high-throughput connectivity. ▪ Specify feeder-link requirements for data and control exchange between TN and NTN; set spectrum-sharing, interference-mitigation and beamforming strategies. 2\. Integration, verification & validation ▪ Guide network planning and simulation with the network design team. ▪ Write integration and system test specifications; oversee breadboard validation of critical building blocks. ▪ Steer lab, over-the-air (OTA) and drive testing, proof-of-concepts and demonstrations that prove NTN-TN interoperability. ▪ Safeguard end-to-end service provisioning and data-path integrity across the full RF communications chain. 3\. Partners, suppliers & delivery ▪ Evaluate component and subsystem partners; coordinate external technical partnerships. ▪ Define system and subsystem sign-off for supplier and subcontractor deliverables: milestones, work packages, plan sign-offs and integration. ▪ Act as primary technical contact for cellular wireless development and deployment across OIQ’s partner and customer ecosystem. 4\. Collaboration & mentoring ▪ Work closely with hardware, software and AI colleagues; maintain rigorous architecture documentation (e.g. GitHub). ▪ With the CTO, mentor working students, interns and extended team members on 4G/5G NTN-TN connectivity.
