SWISSto12 is one of the world’s fastest-growing aerospace companies, evolving from its pioneering use of 3D printing technologies for high-performance Radio Frequency (RF) products and applications to recently announcing the manufacture of entire geostationary telecom satellites, called HummingSat, that define a new category in space.
HummingSat is the world’s first commercial telecom GEO SmallSat developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). Its uniquely compact size combined with highly capable telecom payloads allows telecommunications operators to deploy a cost-efficient, compact, and agile asset without sacrificing performance or security. HummingSat has been selected by Intelsat to build the I-45 satellite, by Inmarsat to build three I-8 satellites, and recently by Astrum Mobile to build the NEASTAR-1 satellite.
SWISSto12 is also a leading provider of Radio-Frequency (RF) products and sub-systems for satellite communication and remote sensing applications. The company’s patented 3D printing technologies and associated product designs are unique to deliver lightweight, compact, highly performing, and competitive RF products. This position is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting multiple production activities within machining, surface preparation, and finishing for RF components used in space systems. As a Polyvalent Operator, you will contribute across various workstations including glass bead blasting (GBB), glazing (Chemical etching), simple CNC/EDM machining, and machine setup, to ensure smooth production flow and high-quality results. You will work under the guidance of Team Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers, gaining exposure to a wide range of manufacturing processes and technologies.
Responsibilities
Production Support Activities

- Assist with CNC or EDM setups and run simple machining jobs according to instructions.
- Handle manual finishing operations such as deburring, polishing, and cleaning of metallic parts.
- Support logistics and flow of parts between process steps to reduce bottlenecks.
Quality & Control
- Conduct basic visual inspections and dimensional checks using standard metrology tools or fit check jigs.
- Ensure all parts are handled according to internal requirements for RF and space applications.
Collaboration & Versatility
- Work flexibly across production cells (machining, AM post-processing, surface treatment).
- Support colleagues during peak workload periods to ensure schedule adherence.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
Maintainability & Safety
- Execute daily cleaning and basic equipment checks as per the Total Preventive Maintenance Plan (TPMP).
- Report any abnormalities or maintenance needs to the relevant Team Leader.
- Follow all EHS and chemical-handling procedures during blasting and glazing operations.
Requirements
