KaleidEO, a subsidiary of SatSure, is an upstream leader in Earth Observation, building a full-stack company from India. As an analytics-first payload innovator, we specialize in building next-generation, high-resolution, multispectral payloads with edge computing and wide coverage capabilities.

Rooted in SatSure’s legacy of building applications across sectors like Utilities, Agriculture, Aviation, BFSI, and Climate Action, KaleidEO also provides end-to-end EO solutions—from payload development and launch to mission operations and data analytics.

This role will actively contribute to the design of Optical Payloads (both reflective and refractive telescopes) or Test setups for EO satellite missions. The role involves hands-on engineering exposure and close collaboration with experienced optics and systems engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of optical systems for electro-optical payloads and optical test setups
  • Assist in assembly, alignment, integration, and testing of optical payloads
  • Participate in concept development and methodology development for payloads or test configurations
  • Perform optical analysis, documentation, and performance evaluation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during development and testing phases

Qualifications

Pursuing B.Tech in Engineering Physics or M.Tech / M.Sc.Tech in Optical Engineering or Photonics

Skills

  • Strong understanding of geometrical optics and physical optics
  • Basic knowledge of reflective and refractive optical systems
  • Fundamentals of aberration theory and image formation
  • Introductory understanding of radiometry and photometry
  • Awareness of stray light and scattering mechanisms (theoretical level)
  • Basic exposure to ray tracing, spot diagrams, PSF, MTF, and tolerance concepts
  • Understanding of optical alignment and testing principles (collimation, focus, tilt, decentre)
