YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

THE WHAT You develop, stabilize, and scale metal forming processes for high-performance metal liners used in COPVs for spaceflight. You ensure repeatable processes, consistent quality, and early detection and elimination of deviations.

Current processes include spin forming, flow forming, roll bending and heat treatment.

THE WHY To end COPV failure in spaceflight. The metal liner is a critical component of every COPV, and forming precision defines its structural integrity — and therefore the performance and reliability of our products. Your work ensures that metal liners meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and reliability for demanding aerospace applications.

YOUR IMPACT You don't just support production. You define how it works.

You ensure:

  • Stable and repeatable metal forming processes
  • Consistent quality and reduced process variability
  • Early detection and sustainable elimination of defects
  • Efficient and industrializable processes
  • Clear and documented process standards

Your tasks in detail

Develop and optimize metal forming processes for spin forming, flow forming, roll bending, and heat treatment.

→ High Performance: Precision at speed. Outcome over activity.

Analyze process data, reduce variability, and ensure repeatable results.

→ Accountability: Own the process. Own the impact.

Perform root cause analysis and drive sustainable defect elimination.

→ Candor: Speak up early. Solve the real problem.

Collaborate closely with Design, Materials and Production to drive improvements.

→ Togetherness: Align across functions. Deliver as one team.

Prepare processes for industrialization, improve efficiency, and define and document process standards.

→ Playfulness: Experiment. Learn. Improve.

YOUR PROFILE
